A freelance and creative writer who works from BC's Fraser Valley, surrounded by forest and family.
I graduated from the SFU Writer's Studio in 2015 and am currently working on a collection of essays on intergenerational gender and class issues. My story "Nine" was included in the 2016 Caitlin Press anthology Boobs: Women Explore What it Means to Have Breasts. My piece "The Equation" was given the 2016 Malahat Review Constance Rooke prize.

I am a former journalist who loves to tell people's stories. I have worked in community newspapers as a reporter, editor, and columnist for decades. I started many, many years ago as an eager sports reporter and still write opinion pieces. I've won awards – and been annoyingly trolled – for both.
I also write content for trade magazines, newspapers, and not-for-profits.
